Are YOU As Misanthropic as Grendel?
My guardian just took this quiz which proves for all time that she is exactly 76% misanthropic.
I just wonder... is that as misanthropic as Grendel?
Just so you know, that's not a real picture of my guardian up there. My guardian is MUCH prettier than that. Much. Blogs don't lie.

Here's the truth: Most people suck. You are just lucky enough to know it. You're not ready to go live alone in a cave - but you're getting there. |

What the heck? I didn't know about the bat/rabies thing until your mom told me tonight. How awful. You could let a cousin type person know these things. You probably told my kids, but they never tell me anything. I know your mom told my mom, but that is a hopeless source as well. Hope you are ok. I know you are glad the shots are over. I love you. Hey, Rowan,
Are you Sprung yet???? I Want to Know. Thank you for putting me in the Blog Roll, I am Honored. And the Title Too!!!!
By Grendel, at 5:52 PM
My Human Took the Quiz Too. The Picture Kinda Looks Like Her!
I quote:
You Are 60% Misanthropic
You're somewhat misanthropic, but you're not willing to write off the human race (yet!).
There's a few people you like, and even them you like at a distance.

My guardian does like a couple of people. But it's hard when you are surrounded by idiots as we are. You and Aimee know what I mean. Hey I have a picture for Amiee and a present for you. We keep forgetting them when we see you. Did you kill a turkey. That's radical dude.
Grendel, I get sprung on Tuesday. I don't know if you've heard about this or not but there's a big celebration all about it. It's called Thanksgiving and we all get turkey to celebrate the end of my quarantine. Yea! Lindy has been telling me that my life is going to be getting a lot better. I hope just back to normal.
Wilma, you should know by now that if you want to know anything about me or my guardian you should read our blogs. We don't tell you people anything about anything anyway. Why do you think we would have started with this?
Was that misanthropic enough?
Love,
Rowan
and partly Lindy

Rowan, I know you're looking forward to the end of your confinement. That's worth a nation-wide celebration. Yay!
I took the test, and I'm not nearly as misanthropic as your guardian. I'm at 37%, but I don't know yet whether I'll publish the result. That sounds way more Pollyannaish than I really am.

i kill turkeys in california. it's fun. they are all over my grandma's yard and my grandpa used to let me out to chase them and catch them. they're BIG! i'm glad we get to eat one for your freedom celebration. we'll try to stop by tuesday night to see if you are home so we can get a good sniff with no window between us!!!!

Well, Grandmere Mimi, I think you could publish those results. It makes me think that you are a very kind human and I like that quite a lot in a human. My guardian said that you are such a good human you could almost be a dog!
Romeo, buddy, it's THURSDAY. See you THURSDAY. Me and Lindy got confused about the day. Sorry.
Love,
Rowan

what matters, Rowan, is that Lindy loves YOU. It doesn't matter how misanthropic she is.
you have to keep track of the most important things.
But then, you and Lindy already know this.
Now... I think I'll take the quiz..
By Diane M. Roth, at 1:09 PM
I came out the same as Grandmere Mimi. 37%
I wish there was a quiz about how mis-dog-thropic people are. (what would the word be?)
By Diane M. Roth, at 1:13 PM
thursday??? how am i supposed to wait THAT long???
i guess we'll see you then. we'll be home that day, will you? (i realize that some humans like to celebrate thanks-for-rowan-giving-kisses day at other people's houses)
sniffs & snorts,

Well, being in the same company as Grandmere Mimi is pretty good.
I think the word you are looking for would be miscathropic. Ca for canine. Just guessing. You'd have to ask a real linguist to be sure.
Hey, Romeo, Lindy said that we would be in and out on Thursday, more out than in. But, I'll be on the look out for you. I can't wait to sniff your butt!
Love,
Rowan

Glad we got to sniff butts! Yay! Our computer is broken so I can't get online anymore. My human has to go to the library to use a computer (she's kinda in a bad mood about it). I wrote out this note at home and had her type it up while at the library.
Glad you're doing well and are finally out of the clinker!
Your pal,
Romeo (via Aimée)
By Romeo and Aimee, at 9:23 AM
Hey, Romeo, that's a real good idea to just write down your messages and get Aimee to type them at the library. It's raining so I'm only going outside as it is necessary, know what I mean? But, I'll see you again soon. It's great being free again, I'll tell you what. I've been feeling real happy, and I am thankful for all my good friends but especially you and Diego for coming to see me at the window. You are great pals, that's for sure.
Love,
Rowan
By Lindy, at 9:29 AM
Rowan! You're free?? Holy cow! That great! And then the cold weather and the rain came to keep you indoors a bit more.
Yuck.
But I am very excited for you and so glad that you get to be a happy go lucky dog again.
Hug your Lindy for me.
By Rockstar Mom, at 7:11 AM
My Mommy took this quiz too, and it turns out she is only 40% misanthropic. I would have thought more. Oh well.

The Lord only knows what your guardian is writing at her blog, Rowan, because I can't get there. Tell her "Hi" for me.
By June Butler, at 2:58 PM
hey pal
i'm real upset
there is a baby possum living on out patio, under the tarp... and it walks around outside my windowseat at night! i bark and bark but no one will let me out to attack it. arg.
at least it's not a big giant rat like last time. (though the human tells me it's very similar)
your frustrated and loudly barking pal,

Hi there -
we hadn't checked in for a while and thought we'd say hey. Our loopy servant is only 14% misanthropic and is a "people person" said the test. No duh! That's why there are always humans swarming all over our house. Oh well, they usually share their cheese and crackers with us, so it's ok.

As long as Lindy loves and cherishes you, you are soooo lucky!!!

Hi Rowan! Jasper asked me to tell you he wants to know how you are doing. I've promised to help him start blogging this weekend, but he said he was hoping you would blog too.
And I'm having the same problem as Mimi---I can't "see" your Mom's blog anymore. Wah!
Love,
Doxy and Jasper

Dear Rowan, I love reading Lindy's words over at Two Fruits. In fact I love that very much.
But I am wondering how you are doing?
Missing you Rowan but understanding that you only have 4 paws and none of them are so good at typing and Lindy has many tasks and 2 hands.
Love and light to you!
