This is a picture of me at the lake. You may notice that my fur is still wet. That is because I was swimming. Chasing off the ducks. As the president would say, it's hard work. It's hard. But, when you are a take-charge kind of canine like me. Well, you just do the hard work. I don't want to brag, but I feel that I was the best duck chaser at the lake this afternoon. It made me feel very proud to perform such an important service for the others.

Rowan, I find you so uncluttered and straight forward on your holiday away from Canterbury.
I knew you were like you are but I was getting worried.

Dear Anonymous,
I am meeting so many humans with that name!
Just by way of clarification, I am not the Archbishop of Canterbury. Since we both have such nice fur, the best way to tell us apart is that the Archbishop of Canterbury walks on two paws, I walk on all four of mine. Also, the Archbishop of Canterbury wears clothes over his fur and I often prefer to go naked. Oh, and I am not very accommodating of those who claim to be Anglicans and then behave like Southern Baptists. In that respect, I think the Archbishop of Canterbury should work on his growling some. Otherwise, I guess we are about the same. We are intellectuals, men of the world, and we both pray a lot. Most people don’t realize how much we dogs actually pray but being able to observe you humans so carefully… Well, let’s just say that many of us are called to a ministry of intercession on behalf of our guardians. (if you rode in the car with Lindy as much as I do you would know what I mean!)
I appreciate your concern for the Archbishop. But, I suspect he is just fine. Lindy says everything always goes just like it’s supposed to. So, I am sure that our Great Guardian in Heaven is taking care of that other Rowan as well as She cares for me and you.
Love,
Rowan
