It's A Dog's Life

Lindy and I cleaned out our closets yesterday. Lindy said we had too many clothes.

At first I didn't want to give away any of my clothes, especially the pretty ones. But, Lindy explained to me that some dogs don't have any nice clothes at all. I thought that was pretty sad. So, I am going to give away this jacket that is too small anyway. Lindy said that wasn't exactly sacrificial giving but I was not aware of the sacrificial thing. She just sprung that one on me.

Sometimes things don't turn out exactly like you think they will. Something like "sacrificial" can pop up at any time. I don't even know what that is!

I talked to Lindy about that and she said that it is exactly the same way for her. She said that when she got promised a "new life," that she thought it would just be great and everything all the time. Turns out that there's some other things involved too. Sacrifice, I think, might be one of them. I think sacrifice is hard for humans. It would appear to be even harder than parting with a nice jacket like the one I am wearing in the photo above. -- That's Lindy's bare naked leg I'm propped up on, by the way.

Lindy says that being sacrificial has it's own rewards. So far, I am still waiting for mine.

Well, I sure hope that everything is turning out like you planned.

Love,

Rowan

  • I do not wear clothes. But I have a new collar, and sometimes I wear a scarf. -- Scout P.S. you look good in yours.

  • Wow! I am relieved to see that this is from Scout and not from Diane.

You know, Scout, buddy, I am really a little envious of your cool sunglasses. Those are super swell dude.

I got a new collar for the Spring which I am pretty proud about. I also have some dog jewelery which makes me feel very special. I like feeling special, don't you?

    Love,

    Rowan
