More Great Pictures of Me

As you can see, I've been going places in my car.

In this shot I am sporting my wide-band reflective collar.  Lindy likes me to wear it for safety when we're out and about.  That's one of the good parts of having a guardian, someone to look out for you.

This is a shot of me at the beach.  The water was real clear and the sky was especially high.  It was a good day to be outside, I'll tell you what.

Of course, I did quite a lot of running at the beach.  When I am real happy like that, it makes me think that God is probably pretty happy too.  I like making God happy.

In this one I am running my fastest.
Look, no paws.

I did some exploring too.
Nothing here...

I also made all these birds fly away.  I did it all by myself, just because I could.  I wonder if the birds like it when I chase them?

After all that, I laid down and took my well-deserved rest.

I hope that you had a good time doing whatever it is that you do. Try to play some everyday, and resting on the beach is important too.

Love,

Rowan

  • Be still my heart - these photos are amazing.

And you do make God happy with all your free and joyful living. That is the Gospel, on four feet and with a wagging tail, thanks be to God.

We send our love from BooBoo, Gracie, Erica, Mark and Fran.

  • What Fran said ... she has a way with words. The cats and I agree with your outlook on life. Rowan, you are a great dog!

    Thanks fot the great photos!

  • Wait, let me see if I understand this right... +you got all four paws off the ground at the same time? Maybe when I was younger I could have done that, but I fear I'm more "relaxed" now than in my youth.

  • Try again! You look a handsome boy

  • Rowan, you're a noble and handsome dog. I hope that it's all right to spread a little praise around, because your guardian takes amazing pictures. Of course, Lindy has a lot to work with when she photographs you.

The two that I like best are you sitting in the car in your noble pose and the photo of you with no feet touching the ground.

  • Thanks to Ms. Fran and Whiteycat for their kind words. I am glad you like looking at me.

Clumber, that's right. I get all four paws off the ground. It's a real fast way of running.

    Thanks Wendy.

Grandmere Mimi, it's true that Lindy can take fairly good pictures. But, of course, they'd be noting without me.

I love everybody and hope you're playing today!

  • My dogs love following your blog here and are nagging me so that they can get their own blog as well! Perhaps we need a domain known as dogspot.com

  • Four in the air! Haven't seen anything like that since I saw those horses in Vienna.

Gracie envies your energy. She tried flat out running for the first time in ages in our new Village dog park last week but quit after a round or two with a friendly black lab. At a mature 8 (just last month), Gracie is mostly interested in trotting and sniffing every bit of ground and mound and grass, pointing at the occasional wild duck and, early last Sunday, freezing in response to a fox staring at us from afar. She'd love to be near a beach and water like you.

    Keep up the good romps!

  • Rowan and Lindy, thank you for the pictures. I'm remembering one very special dog who used to love to run that way - and she would grin just like you do, Rowan.

  • Gee, you ARE a handsome guy, Rowan!
Do you have any Welsh Corgi relatives?

  • +Rowan, I love the one where you look like you are flying! Those are some gorgeous photos. But as you said, Lindy's artistry would be nothing without you.

  • Rowan, did I ever tell you that blue is your color? Well, it is. The blue collar is stunning on you.

By Blogger June Butler, at 2:50 PM

  • Grandmère, I think that is a royal blue, or maybe a French blue. Either way, my brother bishop looks splendid. I had to interrupt my early afternoon nap to come here and sneak a peak at him. My Jane kept saying "Oh, that +Rowan, he is soooo handsome!" I'm not jealous, you understand, because in the realm of the Holy One (praise to the One) and of Prayer and Playing, there is room for cohabiting gorgeousness in all species. And I, of course, am the gorgeous feline. But you knew that. We love you, +Rowan! Enjoy that beautiful water. I prefer staying out of it so it's all yours. Hooray for you.

You, my dear +Maya, are the loveliest feline bishop in the entire world.
